g5 compatibility...

I have a g4 dual gig powermac, with 3 ATA drives inside, 1 for system files,
one for Audio, and one for Backup.
I am looking to buy a g5 soon, probably the new dual 2.3 gig machine, and
have a few questions:
Firstly, I don't suppose my serial ATA drives in the g4 are compatible with
the g5?
Secondly, I am running two 15" ADC flat screen monitors, one straight into
the video card, the other using the ADC to DVI converter. I know the g5's
are mainly DVI, so could I buy another ADC to DVI converter, and still run
the two monitors on the g5?
I have just bought the M-Audio firewire 1814 interface for audio, using
M-powered Pro-Tools. As I can use the same system for my 12"iBook and mobile
recording, I was thinking about a firewire hard drive to use for both.
For audio editing, which would be better, dedicated serial ATA drives, or a
firewire drive? I am not sure if the 1814 is FW400 or 800, but I should be
running a firewire HD at 800 speed off the g5.
Thanks in advance,
Andrew
