If he has kbd, monitor, then the mini is, IMHO, unbeatable.

IMHO, G4 is a minimum for a serious user who might throw demanding
applications at it, so that rules out the last G3 iMacs. G4 iLamps
still seem to fetch quite high prices, which would commend early G5
iMacs to me, s/h.
