The iBook is not receiving an ip address from the DHCP server and is
reverting to a self-assigned (and more or less completely useless) ip
address - probably 169.-something. A few things you could look at:
1. Does the wireless router limit the MAC addresses it will talk to ?
2. Try renewing the DHCP lease in the Networks Preferences.
3. If that doesn't work, you could try setting it as dhcp with a
manually assigned address.
