Eh?

I use Firefox; Cmd-L puts me in the location bar of the current page
with whatever is already there highlighted, and all I have to do is type
the url and return. That's it. Works every time

Of course it works in Safari too.

If you mean that you'd prefer it to be Ctrl rather than Cmd, well, I'd
say that was a small change to get usde to.
