I've just ordered a new Dell laptop with Vista Home Premium. I alsoNo
have a 6 month old HP laptop running Windows XP. I intend to give
the HP to my son but would like to keep using Windows XP with all
the programmes and files installed on its hard drive. My question
is can I just swap the 2 hard drives so that the Dell can operate
with the donated drive from the HP and vice versa? Thanks in
advance
You need to explain why he cannot do that.
Unsupported hardware, licencing issues, licences locked to
motherboards......
Easier to reinstall all the user software on Vista, if it'll run.
So if the hard drive packs in, you throw the laptop away? Any more good
jokes?
Dennis.
