I have just bought a new HP1150 laptop which is Vista based, I have copied
everything over without a problem, all files, folders, favourites, all
e-mail accounts but I can't get to move all my e-mails.
I have done as many times before copied them on to a pen drive from my
other
PC then copied them in to a file on the new laptop then gone to import
messages, browsed for the folder which its found but it does not seem to
recognise the e-mails which are in "dbx" Is this a Vista v WinXP issue or
am
I doing something wrong ?? Its as if Vista does not recognise the dbx
files
?
Any help welcome.
Dave.
You have included the file called Folders.dbx in your backup, have you?
there should be no problem with (presumably - as you don't tell us) Windows
Mail importing mail from OE, but AFAIK you DO need the file called
folders.dbx otherwise the Windows mail import function doesn't see an OE
store folder...
