I have just bought a new HP1150 laptop which is Vista based, I have
copied
everything over without a problem, all files, folders, favourites, all
e-mail accounts but I can't get to move all my e-mails.
I have done as many times before copied them on to a pen drive from my
other
PC then copied them in to a file on the new laptop then gone to import
messages, browsed for the folder which its found but it does not seem to
recognise the e-mails which are in "dbx" Is this a Vista v WinXP issue or
am
I doing something wrong ?? Its as if Vista does not recognise the dbx
files
?
I was caught out by this - create a folder such as C:\Mail
Copy all of the dbx's (including Folders.dbx) there, then try to import
with Windows Mail, you should have more luck.

Sorted it now, I think it might have been something to do with the files
going on to the new laptop in "read only" when I checked the properties. I
changed this and it seemed to work, also I uploaded them direct from the pen
drive so not sure if this is why it worked ??
Thanks anyway.
Dave.
