Thanks - it is the 3080. Why on earth she got this I will never know.

I can't find any real information on that site - i.e, the original
manufacturer of the motherboard, but it did tell me she was missing a
component - a wireless dongle, apparently she got a deal because it
was a display model, probably the reason for the AOL ad on startup -
if I knew she had purchased this in October I would have told her to
take it back - oh well.

I will just do a clean install of XP in the weekend using the driver
disk supplied, after making a copy of the recovery image to disks.
