I am looking for a laptop with weight (lighter the better), battery
length
and size (smaller the better) being my main priorities. I am only really
going to use it for word processing and Internet access (not major). Is
there a machine that can be had for a reasonable price (below £500) that
would meet my requirements?

Re: Pack weight ... As someone who spends a lot of time walking with a "packlight" brother, ... really do significantly reduce the weight.... of aqua mira that does the same job but is infinitely lighter.... I would also say that I always carry too much food,... (uk.rec.walking)
