Sorry, i might ad, that the lights come on and the fan but you get no
post.
the shop who sold it said it puzzles them that it will not take certain
CPU's but they have got it running with an SL8BA 1.7 and built one for a
customer with an SL7S9 CPU, i have tried 5 CPU's but the Laptop does the
same, Powers on/lights come on and the fan after a little while and thats
it, no post or screen and no button control apart from Power button to
switch on and off.

Hard drive knackered?
