Acer laptops - 9813?

I'm in the market for a decent laptop for around the £1000 mark, and
I'm interested in the Acer 9813 because of the onboard power it claims
as well as the 20' screen (it's more for a desktop replacement than
mobile computing).

Requirements:
* Power (Developer Profile)
* Big screen
* Sharp colour/screen
* slimline profile

What's everyones views on the best desktop (powerbook) laptops on
offer at present (with 19 or 20' screens).

My other problem with this is that I'm fussy on the aesthetic of the
PC too (it's got to look good in my lounge) and I cannot find any
decent photos of the thing (closed as well as open). Why can't Acer
online retailers get their act together.

Perhaps someone knows where you can go to see them (in London) or if
there's a computer/electronics show coming up that might include an
Acer showcase?
