Any help would be appreciated here. My laptop works fine but nearly every
time I use it to access the internet it at some point freezes up (strangely
usually during a search!). Have tried using Google search instead of MSN
but still happens.
I am wondering if the internal cooling fan(s) have packed up on it and are
causing problems when it gets hot. Are these things reasonable easy to open
up to investigate? I am ok with PC's - build my own always but never tried
laptops. Any where on the net I can get a service manual or whatever??
Procesor is an Athlon XP-M 2800
Have you tried to 'blow through' the cooling vents to shift the dust? Use
one of the cans of 'compressed air' sold in computerish shops for the
purpose.
Are you using a built-in modem for dial-up, or a built-in ethernet or
wireless card, or a PC-Card or external device, to connect?
