Hi, can anyone point me in the direction of a good website or ebook on how to dismantle my tiny notebook?
I only need to resolder the power connector and dont really want to pay in excess of £100 for someone else to do it.
Thanks in advance
Bob
If you mean Tiny, as in the company Tiny, chances are that your laptop is made by Mitac. Do a google on the model number, and match with files on the following sites

DO NOT proceed without the service manual, and have plenty of containers to store screws! Take antistatic precautions, and treat everything as if it is fragile. Study film wire sockets carefully to see how the film wires should be unclamped and removed. You will need fine fingers....
You may find the power socket is knackered - with a Tiny laptop that I recently replaced the socket, I had to resort to metal working to fit a replacement. Bear in mind when choosing replacements, that charging a flat battery may demand quite a few amps - and the type of DC sockets from Maplin and Co. don't have much metal contact area, they may cause in-socket arcing, melt the plastic and then be a fire risk waiting to happen when you are out of the house.
Mitac original spares are sadly next to unobtainable (their engineers swap boards).
There are incidently a bunch of folks making big business selling 10 cent sockets for £20. See Ebay. Hope it's just bad soldering on your laptop - that one is easy to fix :-)
Good luck.!
