Simple go for a make you trust
Make sure you get at least 512mb ram

You can go Dell but it's online & telephone support
You can go retail which gives you the option of popping back to the shop if
any problems.

Also what do you need it for?
If you want just internet usage/office based application use go or something
around the £450 mark this will do the job fine & you have some extra money
to buy printer/scanner if needed.
