I have a couple of gripes with it though. When you first switch on
the machine, you are prompted to create a restore DVD backup from a
hidden partition on the drive. I wanted to change the drives from
FAT32 to NTFS so I inserted my DVD restore disc that I created and
sadly there was a missing file.
If you just wanted to convert the drives to NTFS, why did you need to
restore the machine to it's original state first?
I was not trying to restore the machine. I thought the restore CD was like
my old Samsung restore CD (and like normal xp cds) where I could go into the
windows setup and delete the D partition then re-create it. Then exit setup
with the new NTFS. I have done this before with previous restore sets so
didn't think it would be a problem. However the disc was corrupted and I
never even got that far and it screwed up the OS completely. System would
not boot at all.
I had originally tried formatting the drive from within windows but it would
not give me NTFS option, only FAT32 so tried this longer method.
