The Acer Aspire 3610 uses the Intel 910 chipset, with integrated

(DVMT) which allocates memory used for the graphics dynamically. This
would explain the 10 MB that i assume is about the amount used by the
graphics system for standard desktop usage. So, the 128 MB are the
maximum and not a fixed section allocated for graphics, as it used to
be in the old days :-)

So I take it then that graphics is using this 10mb plus the 128mb reserved
for it? Seems alot to use when I don't need it for games. I might drop the
graphics to 64mb and see how it goes.
Still curious though as to why the memory stick is reported as physically
having 502mb. Surely it should say 512mb even if some is reserved for
elsewhere?
