Anyone Bought a Dell Inspiron 1300?

Just bought a Dell Inspiron 1300 as follows:
Specification:
Intel® Celeron® M Processor 370 (1.50 GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, 400 MHz FSB)
Windows® XP Home Edition, SP2
256MB 533MHz DDR2 SDRAM (1x256)
40GB (5.400rpm) Hard Drive
14.1inch WXGA (1280x800) LCD Panel
8X DVD+/-RW with Software
Internal 56K v.92 Capable Fax Modem
Dell Wireless 1370 802.11b/g Mini PCI Card
There appears to be a significant amount of 'light bleed' at the bottom
of the screen when the screen is dark/black (for example when playing
widescreen DVD's etc.) although it's not too noticible during normal
use (WinXP, Office, etc.). I wonder if anyone else who has bought one
of these laptops could comment because I'd like to know if this is
normal or not. The light/brightness seeps along the length of the
bottom of the screen and is about 4cm high. It's quite bright and
rather distracting!
I know that you get what you pay for but I've had a good Google search
and although there are a few references to such issues there's not much
detail.
