Snip====================================================

Could do with the same thing for a C600, all the power supplies have the
standard end but dell hace to be different.
get an inverter for 20 quid from maplins. plugs in *** lighter, gives
you a normal mains socket to plug existing charger into...

Yep I use an inverter, they work quite well.

Hi
Re inverter I checked up about an inverter that I bought and was told
that with the dell charger having the type of plug that it is that I
would have to have it earthed.
I am useless with stuff like that but I gathered that I would have to
have an earth lead installed in the car, which I haven't done yet.
Anyone got any info on this.
Another thing I would like to mention was this when I got my laptop I
only got 2 disks so I rang support telling them I wanted back up my
whole system to an external hard drive I rang on Tuesday afternoon at
4pm and yesterday at 9am I received 5 disks which I haven't looked at
yet.
I haven't even got the external hd yet so I have a lot of playing
around to do,any thoughts on backing up the whole system ?
You see I am a little paranoid and once a week I always backed up my
desktop,you know.....just in case :-)
