Can't comment about the Acer, but I have the Dell Inspiron 6000 and its
fantastic. Yes 90 hours is obviously wrong. My Dell does around 5 hours
max per charge with the higher capacity battery (purchased as an extra at
the time of sale) and with the screen at half brightness. I went for the
middle resolution of screen 1600, and the wifi and bluetooth options. Its a
really nice system. Well made, solid, and everything feels nice and works
well together. One thing that really pleases me, is the lack of a fan
kicking in and out all the time (like many modren laptops do) The Dell does
not do this, instead they opted for a much much quieter slower fan which
runs all the time (its almost silent, and can only be heard if you get real
close to the fan vents). I think the Dell has been designed well for
effective cooling. It doesn't get very hot underneath either (which is not
the case for many other modern laptops)
