Thanks for the reply, Martin. See also my reply to Alan. I appreciate what
you say, but I'd rather get something reliable in the first place. Both of
you seem to take it for granted that the machine will inevitably break down
before it becomes obsolete. I would rather get something that will not break
down before I move on to my next machine. Obviously, I realise any machine
can break, but no doubt some are more reliable than others. So, anyone,
which is the most reliable laptop manufacturer?? Or all they all more or
less the same. I know most laptops are made by three or four anonymous
Taiwanese companies anyway, so I suppose that must be the answer to my
question. But can anyone tell me for sure?
