BIOS update for Toshiba 7200

Anyone done this? and would care to share the experience (good/bad - and
how, exactly, it's done?).
Have downloaded the BIOS update from the Toshiba website, but it's all very
conflicting:
- the website part states that updates from within Windows are supported -
but there's no mention of how to do the BIOS update from within Windows, in
any of the files in the download
- the downloaded file has a readme that states simply copy the contents to
a non-bootable floppy, and reboot holding down F12
- the other readme file(!) states to use a DOS command to create the
floppy, using a filenanme whose syntax does not appear in the unpacked
files... (file2fd.com "filename".img - there's no .img in the pack!).
What to do? It's been a long time since I did a BIOS upgrade, and there
always seemed to be a risk - even if the instructions were in fact clear..!!
