For £200 you'll be lucky to find a small/thin/light laptop with a 1GHz
processor, especially if you want something with an optical drive (often
external with a small laptop), a decent hard-drive (about 20GB) and memory
(at least 192MB). Something like a well specced IBM Thinkpad 570 series
(500MHz), Toshiba Portege 3400 series (600 or 700MHz), or perhaps a Compaq
M300 (600MHz) should come into your budget via eBay. If you do opt for a
Portege 3400 series, watch out for the installed memory, because upgrading
thme can be a pain as they use micro-SODIMM memory which is hard to find
cheaply.

You did miss a very tasty Toshiba Portege 4010 from ITDealers yesterday with
a 933MHz processor and builtin DVD drive for about £210 inc. vat ex.
postage. Might be worth approaching them to see if they have another hidden
away somewhere? :)
