Re: Debian -> Mac Mini, so close yet so far?

On 10/01/11 23:05, Justin C uttered these pearls of wisdom::

I get a Grub2 menu list - hmmm, I think it's Grub2, during the
installation of grub there was mention of an upgrade to grub2, but the
menu list says Grub version 1.98+20100804-11.

Grub2 does not have a menu.list but a grub.cfg file which is
automatically generated by /usr/sbin/grub-mkconfig using templates from
/etc/grub.d and settings from /etc/default/grub. I think your menu.list
was left over from your earlier grub installation.

You may need to use grub-install and then update-grub to get a working
grub2 installation.
