Tried that but it doesn't (at least as it booted after the install)
recognise the inbuilt wifi.

Hmm, that's interesting, I'll try it. If I plug the camera in via USB it
comes up fine, as do normal USB sticks and external hard drives, DVD
drives etc. But not the camera card slot.
Weird.
