I am trying to use my Netgear WN121T wireless adapter in Ubuntu. I
can't find a LINUX driver but I understand that I can use a Windows
driver using a particular program. However, the Windows driver is
contained in a .exe file. I have therfore run the .exe in a Windows
system and aborted the setup so that I can get the stuff unpacked.
Those .exe files are often self-extracting archives - which should be
able to be opened using 'unzip' on a Linux system. Try 'unzip -l
<filename>.exe' to see if it will open it.
There are other types of self-extracting archive. I'm pretty sure rar
ones are common and that they can be extracted by unrar, and I think
some are compatible with cabextract. The "file" utility should tell you
if it's a SEA which Linux can read.
