There's some time yet before 6.06LTS becomes unsupported. If there's still beta stuff in 8.04LTS by then, then I'll call it a mistake. What I would call a mistake would be to put a new release out and discontinue support for the previous one the same day. This stuff is aimed at converting the sort of people who won't even think about putting something out until it reaches service pack 1 anyway, so its 8.04.1LTS for them in three months time. Yes I know that's just marchitecture, thats why I'm not taking it at face value.
There's nothing wrong with FF2 and it will continue to be supported
after FF3 is released just like FF1.5 was.
Just like 6.06LTS too. And FF2 can be installed from the repos in 8.04 if you want to go to a "more stable" 8.04 now.
