There's about 3 feet between the internal wlan transceiver in the
computer and the keyboard receiver, it's never seemed to make any
difference.

I've just been trying a new bluetooth GPS receiver, could pick it up
from about 15 feet away, I would have tried further but the GPS has
now died, it lasted a whole 15 minutes before breaking, not bad for
£25...
