Yes but I don't want to install stuff I don't need, similarly I could
install windows VMWare partitions to run some simple software for some
devices I have but I'd prefer not to. It's OK if it's just a few little
bits here and there but when a dependency list of some 20 or so packages
comes up I tend to think about whether a programme is worth installing all
that cruft.
I bet you still use an instruction as a literal, in order to save a word of
memory ;-)
