I can't access https://www.payperdrop.eu from Linux with Firefox,
Konqueror or w3m: it just waits (almost) indefinitely for the
socket to open or eventually times out. But I can access the site
from Windows on the same PC, also using Firefox.
I can get it straight up with Firefox on Gentoo, so it's a local issue
from the look of it.
Might be worth firing up wireshark and watching what happens?
OK, I've done that and uploaded the file to
http://www.realh.ukfsn.org/wireshark.bin because it doesn't mean a lot
to me.
I've also tried:
Ubuntu Gutsy Live CD: Failed
Asked my brother-in-law to check; he uses Ubuntu Feisty on the same ISP
as me: Success
So it seems to be some sort of incompatibility between my router and
Linux. Hopefully I might be able to try a different router in the next
few days.
I would have tried more live CDs, but I've only got Knoppix (not much
point because it's also Debian based) and System Rescue which doesn't
support my NIC.
