Removing/Replacing primary IDE disk

Hi, group
I need to get rid of an aging 5400rpm 40G drive because it is making too
much noise. I've succesfully installed a big SATA disk, and shuffled
things about so that most of the OS now resides on a newer 7200 rpm IDE
disk, currently configured as slave
All I have to do now is move / to the slave disk (/dev/hdb5 is reserved
for it)
Here's what I think I have to do:
1. grub-install /dev/hdb
2. boot from a live CD, mount existing root and new root partitions
3. move all data from hda1 to hdb5
4. edit /etc/fstab changing hdb to hda + new entry for / on hda5.
5. edit /boot/menu.lst changing (hd0,0) to (hd0,3)
^????
6. Change jumpers on hard disk and reconnect.
7. Pray to Lord TUX and reboot.
Have I missed anything in the above?
