Having moved to a spot where downloads are simply taking far too long to
be practical, I am forced back to cover disks. However since these are
now cover DVD's I have found I have problems understanding the
methodology, or is it the instructions, (?) for getting jigdo to
work.
Sorry, never used it, but when I last needed a big download over a
slowish connection, I used bittorrent. Maybe you should say what the
specific problem is and what speed you do have available. For
example, I am confused simply because if you have a cover disc, what
are you using jigdo for?
Is there a simple 'how-to' for the intellectually challenged? 'Googling'
gives me lots of results for downloads of Debian but, and again it may
be me, nothing that I can see that tells me how to get the DVD to burn
me a CD.
If this is the specific problem, then you'd better say what the disc
is. I am not sure they are all the same. If the DVD has ISO images
of CDs on it, then just burn with your favourite CD burner (K3B,
cdrecord, cddao, brasero...).
