beagle daemon won't start in kubuntu 7.04

I've been trying for a few days to get beagle to start in Kubuntu 7.04
without any luck. I've tried asking on the Kubuntu mailing list, but
haven't yet had any replies.

The part of the log which may be of use is:

Can anyone shed any light on my problem?
