How are the accounts created?

If they are in the /etc/passwd file only, and samba is authenticating to
that file (encrypt passwords = No) then you'll need to set the registry
flag on the XP boxes: EnablePlainTextPasswords

Gordon

Not sure quite what happend tried with encrypt and without, configuration
was via
webmin, as it turned out by manually creating new passwords with the
accounts it then worked.
