k3b is good for cd/dvd writing and copying. I use Kaudiocreator for
ripping CDs. You can use apt-get to cmd-line install things or use
synaptic or kpackage if you'd like a pointy-clickey thing instead.
Or aptitude, which is both command-line *and* pointy-clicky.
