Hi,
Whilst I can use ECIADSL driver to get my USB Fujitsu ADSL modem working
with Linux, I'd like to be able to just install Ubuntu and it detect and
connect me to the internet automatically.
Can someone please explain what I need to be able to do this? Do I need to
fit an internal ADSL modem or what?
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.
Buy an ADSLrouter and forget USB modems. Use ethernet to connect the
router and then you will have always on broadband, not puesdo dialup as
you do with USB.

Thanks guys!
Sorry, when u talk about ethernet, do I need to buy an ethernet card
and install internally and then a router which then plugs into the
ethernet?
What is the purpose of the router? Sorry new to all this so fogive me
if I'm asking silly questions.
Any suggestions on what to buy please?
Many thanks.
