SuSE 10, remote clients unable to open display

Hi,
Using my SuSE 10 box to access a Solaris server. I want to run xterm, etc. on the Solaris box and have it displayed on my SuSE box.
Logged in to KDE, opened a terminal and did an 'xhost +', telnet to the Solaris box, set DISPLAY to my SuSE box :0.0, do an 'xterm' from the Solaris box and get an 'xterm xT unable to open display on ...'.
I had this working under 8.2, and didn't think that I'd needed to make any changes to the configuration files.
Any thoughts?
