Hi, I'm a little concerned that recently on my fedora core 4 installation,[snip]
the hard drive is constantly going. It's a constant, every quarter of a
second the drive light goes and the drive clicks.
Is there a way to check the disk? Is there a way to check which application
could be using the disk the most?
That smells of failure. "dmesg | tail" if you can; also, run "smartctl -a" on
the failing disk, preferably from a rescue or live CD. It's probably also
worth having smartctl run a long test on it too.
