You need to install the kernel headers package (in your case
linux-headers-2.6.10-2-k7).

I'm groping in the dark here, but I tried "sudo apt-get install
build-essential linux-headers-2.6.10-2-k7". I got "build-essential is
already the newest version. E: Couldn't find package
linux-headers-2.6.10-2-k7"

It looks as if you are not running a "current" kernel then (which is why you can't get a corresponding set of headers). If you type:

apt-cache search linux | grep k7

you should get a list of everything current. Then install the current kernel as well.
