it's a source based distro - everything is compiled from source on your
machine locally after the basic install. So support for everything is
very good. You do end up doing a lot more tweaking than with other
distros though, so if you just want something to install and forget, it
may not be suitable.

Don't know specifically about Belkin, but I have WPA_supplicant and
ndiswrapper working on my Broadcom chip internal card.
