Depends what you want to do.
If you need to collaborate with people who send/receive Microsoft
Office files, etc., then you may end up feeling it's lots easier to
use Microsoft Office and Windows. And if you want to view media in
WMV format, then you're pretty much stuck with Microsoft software.
And some web sites (though few, thankfully) still require Microsoft IE
to work properly.
Mostly the problems are with interoperating with the
(monopoly-created) majority who use Windows PCs. But those can be
real problems, depending on what you want to do.
There can also be problems with random bits of hardware which only
work with Windows, but mostly that seems not so much of a problem,
there's usually some equivalent that'll work OK.
