When you burn the CD, do not just burn the file onto it like a normal data CD. You need to find the option in your CD burning software to "burn image file" or "burn ISO" - then you just point it at the .iso file and it will make you a nice bootable CD with all the files on it contained within the image. (You must have some seperate CD burning software - the built in Windows XP CD burning facilities won't do it.)
A quick google search found the following site, which has instructions for burning ISO images in just about every piece of software imaginable:
