Compaq/HP Proliant ML530 and booting
Hiya,
I have this server with Compaq 5300 array controller. I need to boot Linux
from this box, but the only way I can do it now is floppy / CD, because LILO
doesn't support RAID 5 :-(
So I plugged SCSI disk as I have 2 SCSI channels on the motherboard, but
still no luck.
Even with IDE drive. Looks like Proliant is not looking for the system on
SCSI/IDE.
Any ideas? Don't know if SCSI's bootloader is working, but on IDE drive I
have win98 which IS working&booting fine.
I wasn't even able to locate any BIOS options to change boot order...
Any ideas what can I do?
Booting from floppy is rather not a good solution.
cheers,
Martin
