I was at Quza -> Racal Telecom -> Global Crossing, similar
experiences. The bosses lied to customers and staff right up until
the last days, but they're pretty much legally obliged to if they're a
limited company, they have a duty to maximise shareholder profits and
so will fib like crazy to keep as many staff on and as many customers
on as they can right up until kickoff time.
