I have a home network consisting of 3 PCs running XP Home. Recently I
had to do a full reinstall of XP on one of them (my kids' machine). The PC has (exactly as previously) an admin user account (for me) and a limited-access user account for the kids.
I set up the the My Documents folders in both accounts to be shared over the network exactly as previously. However, the Kids' Documents folder stubbornly remains inaccessible from other computers although I can see it over the network. If I try to open that folder, I get the dreaded Windows "Bong!", and a window warning me that Access is Denied.
I have been into the Properties of the problematic folder and tried setting sharing to 'off' and then re-enabled it; doesn't help.
Any ideas? I'm completely stumped.
TIA

Does the kids account have "make private" set?
Do the other systems have a kids account and can you access from that (assuming the name/password is the same)?
(Not really confident, as I don't use that facility.)
