Want to upgrade RAM

I have an HP a1619.uk PC and it is specified as 1Gb Ram.
My manual says it can have 4 x 1GB
The manual says it is one 240pin DDR2 SDRAM
speed PC2-4200 mb/sec
also I can fit 3 more.
I have run the www.belarc.com advisor programme and it reports I have
1024mb installed.
slot A0 512
slot A1 512
slot A2 empty
slot A3 empty
Can I have advise on what to fit please?
Another 1 or 2 512s
another 1 or 2 1gbs
Is it ok to mix 512 and 1024, is the main concern.
Have I enough data in the above spec. in order to get correct memory, I ask
as I have seen the above spec, plus 533mhz m'board.
