I have an old laptop with xp pro installed. Its a 233MMX chip and what with extra ram its been working well. However, one of the kids turned the thing off at the mains before the laptop had time to shut down and now I get the following messages on bootup -
"WARNING - NO BOOTABLE FLOPPY DRIVE 0 INSTALLED"
"WARNING FLOPPY CONTROLLER FAILED"
And although the keyboard is working fine is I press F1 to continue, it cannot find the hard drive, and I get the message "FLOPPY DISK FAULT - INSERT VALID BOOT DISK" and when I press CTL ALT S to go into BIOS, the keyboard isnt working at all. Any ideas? thanks people. There's no floppy disk in the drive and I cant remove the floppy drive...
The KB wont work in BIOS so I cant disable the floppy disk, and ive tried leapfrogging another keyboard on the laptop and that doesn't work..
