I've really buggered things up now. A few days ago, I installed my
Tesco broadband software onto my new PC, but when prompted for my
password (during installation) I entered the wrong one. This meant
than when connecting to the internet I had to keep correcting the
password manually every time. So I decided to uninstall the software
and start again. Problem is now, during installation when requested
to connect the modem, it doesn't appear to recognise it and nothing
happens. Sounds to me as if some part of the program is still
somewhere in the operating system causing a conflict. Any ideas?

Assuming you are using XP, and it's only a few days since your first install
of BB, perhaps a system restore would be worth trying?
Chris
I'm using Vista. I would've tried a complete system restore but my PC
didn't come with a copy of Vista on CD.
