Simple keyboard macro program for XP needed

Hi,

Any recommendations folks may have for a simple (i.e. cheap and
cheerful) keyboard macro program under XP would be much appreciated?
There are plenty out there (Tucows has a dozen at least) but they are
far more elaborate than I need. Time was, under an ancient OS, when I
would write a simple text file to be loaded at start-up but today I
wouldn't know where to begin.

Recently for my Rover 75 I acquired a workshop manual on CD that
expired in 2003 - the same year as the car was first regitered. I have
then to change the date each time I load it and so a single key-press
instead would be a great convenience.
