Re: Importing emails from Outlook Express (XP) into Windows Mail (Vista)

On Sat, 12 May 2007 12:38:53 +0100, "Martin Underwood" <a@b> mused:

The Vista equivalent of Outlook Express, Windows Mail, stores it emails in a
different way to OE - it doesn't seem to use .dbx files, so you can't just
copy the .dbx files into Windows Mail's store foder. Fair enough.

I tried to import the emails: in Windows Mail, File | Import | OE 6 but when
I gave it the folder on my external hard drive where I'd saved all the .dbx
files (ie a copy of the folder that is pointed by OE's Tools | Options |
Maintenance | Store Folder) it said "No suitable files found".

Has anyone got this to work. Am I doing something stupid?

Have you tried exporting from OE first? What file types does WM want
you to point it to?
