When I try to shut down my computer (Windows XP OS) I
sometimes get the message "dwwin.exeDLL initialisation

click the message off, and it does shut down. But its a bit

DWWIN.EXE is an MS tool called Dr Watson and is used for
debugging program errors. There's a long story behind the name
and it's been in Windows since at least version 3.1. More

To get rid of the message you can disable Dr Watson by

I might try following the instructions on the Microsoft website
and see if that works.
fired up when something crashes, and is unable to start up because
the system is shutting down - so you are only seeing a symptom, not
the cause of the problem.
Suggest you have a look at the system event logs to see if that sheds
light on what is going wrong.
